Investment to public sector of Slavutych
 During the last years activity of unprofitable organizations of Slavutych grew distinctly. 76 non-governmental organizations and associations of citizens are registered in the city, over 60 of them work efficiency. Main problem of such organizations is absence of own premises and required office equipment. Clearly, such situation substantially limits their possibilities and further development.
Opening of Resource Center for support of non-governmental organizations in the city of Slavutych became the considerable investment to the public sector development. The opening ceremony has been held on November, 9, 2004.
The Resource Center provides consultative, informative and technical support to the leaders and members of city non-governmental organizations. Non-governmental organizations can use free the Resource center premise for own activities: meetings, "round table" meetings, seminars holding, and others. The representatives of public organizations have the opportunity to use free communication services, Internet, to print and make copy of the documents, or to do some computer work.
Within the Resource Center activity over 10 non-governmental organizations took advantage of such support (total, over 40 appeals). The representatives of public organizations have got consultative support at applying for granting, required informative materials in relation to organization activity. Information concerning new grant programs, projects and competitions regularly spreads by Resource center staff. Such support helps to non-governmental organizations to find funds for implementation of the projects. The leaders and members of non-governmental organizations have received new knowledge related to legal subjects, accounting, business communication and marketing; improve computer skills due to trainings and seminars holding by Community Development Center specialists.
On March, 2005 a library was opened in the Resource Center. There are scientific, popular, publicists’ literature, and periodicals. In May a library fund was filled up on 1630 copies, it is 40 separate editions. Total library fund makes 1770 copies, there are1560 copies among of them to be spread free among non-governmental organizations, school libraries, high schools, and local authorities. A library is constantly filled up by new editions of Community Development Center bulletin "Public messenger". On May "Digest of social programs and activities implementing in the city of Slavutych in 2004 – 2007" was published, and it is also possible to familiarize with in the library of the Resource center. All applying to the library have the possibilities to use required literature by delivery system or to do some work in a reading-room.
We hope the new possibilities will be opened for non-governmental organizations of Slavutych due to the Resource center activity!
