 Slavutych municipal public organization "Community Development Center" has began the implementation of the project "Community capacity improvement programme for Slavutych -2" since September, 2004 at support of Great Britain Department of Trade and Industry.
Community capacity improvement in the city of Slavutych is the main purpose of the project by the way of the social services system improvement, extension of goods and services local market in according to public opinion of residents, and also development of unprofitable organizations, improvement the collaboration between the organizations and population, other organizations, and all levels authorities.
Main tasks of the project are:
1. Improvement of goods and services local market by practical suggestions development for local entrepreneurships and local authorities.
2. Development and implementation of encouragement mechanism aimed at quality improvement of local goods and services.
3. The Resource Center for non-governmental organizations support should be established.
4. Mechanisms of the social investment research and development, improvement of community involving into decision of the social problems of Slavutych, in the decision-making at local level, and programs development in relation to the social changes in the city.
5. Support of women’s initiatives in socially – economic sphere.
Within the framework of the project the Resource Center was established on November, 9, 2004. Center provides the public organizations with the technical, informative, methodical and consulting support on legal subjects, organizational, financial aspects of activity.
