 It was created in 2002. It includes representatives of Social Psychological Centre and other Slavutych organizations, which have the aim to increase social and economic activity of the residents of the Town and Region.
The "Community Development Centre" believes that Community activity aimed at the development of social infrastructure, creation of additional jobs, is guarantee of increasing of the social and economical level of the residents’ life.
The Organisation’s activity is aimed at:
• Support and promotion of public initiatives in the institutions of local governing;
• Widening of ideas of gender equality;
• Conducting of research work with the objective to study the priority needs of Slavutych and Region residents;
• Conducting of social-psychological research, training seminars, trainings, individual consultations on social, legal and economical issues.

Slavutych municipal public organization "Community Development Center" has began the implementation of the project "Community capacity improvement programme for Slavutych -2" since September, 2004 at support of Great Britain Department of Trade and Industry.
The new project "Gender equality promotion and family violence prevention" started in Slavutych at the support of Fund of democracy promotion at USA Embassy in Ukraine. Community Development Center will implement this project.
