On 29th September in Mskovsky kvartal, 12 the first General Practice ambulance opened. It is the beginning of the implementation of the Programme "Conceptions of the Family Medicine Development". According to the Head of the Medico Sanitary Station – 5 Shilenko V.M. it is foreseen to open seven more such medical establishments. But in accordance with the international principles doctor shall work as close to his patients as possible. He has to become the key figure of the whole primary health care. The aim of implementation of the family medicine is not only to provide medical assistance to the person who has applied to the ambulance station service but also in promotion of preventive programmes aimed at the keeping health.
Representatives of all Medico Sanitary Station of the "atomic" towns came to the opening of the ambulance. They are only going to start such reformation in their towns. Among the guests there also was the Head of Management Department of SMU NAEK "Energoatom" Scherbak O.I. IS "Avtoremontservice" (director Lisnichenko V.A.) rendered considerable assistance in logistical support of the new establishment.
Slavutich Head Udovychenko V.P. handed The Diplomas of Honour to the scientists of the Family Medicine Chair at Dnepropetrovsk Medical Academy who prepared Slavutych GP doctors and pediatricians for working in general practice ambulances. After 6-month studying tour 12 specialists obtained the Certificate of General Practice Doctor – Family Medicine. Doctor Pavlova N.I. became the Head of the first opened ambulance.
