26 October about 100 Slavutich residents visited the travelling Regional Consultation of the President of Ukraine.
Grigoriy Kosenko, the chairman of the Regional Consultation headed the work. Nikolay Pavelko, the Head of the Main Administration of the Retirement Fund and Mikhail Muzyka, the Head of Kiev Region Central Administration Board of Labour and Social Defense of the Population, received the residents of Slavutich in parallel.
In general all residents asked questions about employment, improving of housing conditions, pension and medical guaranteeing. This is no surprise that almost all residents have already obtained information on these issues from the town authorities but anyway they used the opportunity to communicate with the representatives of the Regional Consultation. Slavutich residents submitted proposals in written form regarding calculation of the privileged seniority and calculation of the salary to firefighters and policemen who took part in liquidation of Chernobyl Accident (1986-87) consequences, about the possibilities of directing of cheap deposits onto the study of children, grandchildren and other.
Slavutich Mayor also applied to the Head of the Consultation asking for practical assistance on solving of the whole complex of social problems of life support of Slavutich as a mono-profile town – ChNPP satellite and the problems of the social defense of ChNPP people and Slavutich residents. Their solution is only possible under the conditions that Superior Bodies of Government Management will make correspondent decisions. Vladimir Udovichenko submitted the analysis of the main budget issues, jobs, further work of CEZ, passing and repair work of the highways "Chernigov – Slavutich" , unsolved problems of rehabilitation centre, ChNPP pensioners, who were the first who retired, receive 600 hrivnas of pension and cannot work.
Slavutich Mayor pointed out that there are many people in Slavutich (queue of 960 people) who still pretend for getting the flats for the public funds and there is hope for the practical assistance in building of the house by NAEK "Energoatom". At the same time there is a necessity to begin building of houses for the funds attracted from the town population.
