From the economic point of view, and standpoint of manpower reproduction there is standard distribution of population into three main categories: junior able-bodied citizens, able-bodied citizens, able-bodied citizens and senior able-bodied citizens. Quantitative ratio of these groups is very important for the economy of the region.

In accordance with the official statistics data about one third of Slavutych population (27%) are residents younger than able-bodied citizens and older than senior able-bodied citizens is only 6%.

Significant proportion of growing up generation creates prerequisites for reproduction of able-bodied age population in future..

Analysis demonstrates that amount of manpower in the Town during last several years remains relatively stable and makes up 66,5% despite of general decreasing of population.

Employment in industry is the main resource of Slavutych residents’ incomes.

Steady tendency of average monthly salary increasing is observed in Slavutych, Kyiv Region and Ukraine as well.

In 2003 average monthly salary in Slavutych was 1116.7 hrn, and considerably exceeded average monthly salary in Kyiv Region and Ukraine (470.0 hrn. and 462.3hrn. correspondingly).

High salary at enterprises of energy industry including State Specialized Enterprise "Chernobyl NPP" and Isolated Subdivision "AtomRemontService" influences on the level of average monthly salary in Slavutych.

Without taking in account the indicators of the mentioned above enterprises average monthly salary in the Town establishments and organizations is 436.2 hrn., which is lower than average monthly salary in Kyiv and Ukraine.
