Engineering networks and facilities, which provide the Town with public utilities such as heat supply, water supply and power supply, are in reliable technical state.

The main centre of medical care in Slavutych Town is Specialised Medical and Sanitary Unit No.5 (hereinafter SMSU-5) which is included into the state system of health protection.

Before 2000 kindergartens, municipal services, sports objects and other objects were financed by Chernobyl NPP and it made up about 40 millions hrivnas a year.

Unique social infrastructure has been created in Slavutych Town, which provides all essential conditions for studying.

Within the framework of Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Government of Ukraine, Governments of Great Seven Countries and European Community Commission relating the closure of Chernobyl NPP, a number of International Projects aimed at softening of social problems connected with Chornobyl NPP closure have been implemented.

During last 6 years with the assistance of the world community complex programme of business support with wide spectrum of services has been created in Slavutych. Accumulated successful experience was adapted especially to Ukrainian conditions.

One of the important indicator characterizing provisions of any region with manpower is population age structure.

The Public Corporation "Automobile Joint Stock Community "Slavutych" (ATASS) provides auto transport services in Slavutych. It is a monopolist.
